Reader Rating

Posted July 8, 2010, 2:47 PM EST: Descendant: Chronicles of the Ipswich Witch is an impressive debut novel. The characters are unique and though the first three chapters unfold slowly the book picks up pace and gives some interesting plot turns ending with a dynamic twist that leaves the reader anticipating book two. Written with a slant on vampires that I have never read before it is a fresh concept sure to catch on!!

I read this book in its raw form. Ms Bachman did a very good job in this book.... loved the story.. loved the characters. Alasdair is a wonderful character, as is Raven. You will start this book and not put it down. Great stuff.
